Depart USA on EL AL flight on your way to Israel

Day 2 Friday Jan 15,
ARRIVAL / TEL AVIV
Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by our representative. Drive to TEL AVIV, to see the city that never sleeps: this year celebrating 100 years Anniversary. Will stop at old port of Jaffa and drive to our hotel to check in. Enjoy our first dinner and over night. Overnight in Tel Aviv at Grand Beach Tel Aviv Meals (D)

Day 3 Saturday Jan 16,
DRUZE VILLAGE / HAIFA/ CAESAREA /TIBERIAS
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive north to Caesarea, once the Roman capital of the region. See the excavations of the crusaders' city, the aqueduct and the amphitheater which has been restored as a concert venue. Travel to a Druze village high atop the Carmel Mountains. Enjoy browsing through the colorful Druze market. Stop at Haifa to enjoy the amazing panoramic view of Haifa Bay. Next stop is Acre (Acco), to explore the newly renovated underground Crusader city, now listed on the UNESCO heritage list. The renovated Knights Halls and the Turkish Hammam. See the famous British museum and the excavation from 1000 years ago. Walk along the old harbor and local market. From Acco proceed to the northern point of Israel a Rosh Hanikra. Descend by cable car into the limestone Grottoes. Drive to your hotel in Tiberias. Overnight in Tiberias at Kibutz Nof Ginosar Meals (B, D)

Day 4 Sunday Jan 17
SEA OF GALILEE /SAFED / GOLAN HEIGHTS
Breakfast at the hotel. Start the day with a tour of Tiberias. Drive to Capernaum to see the ruins of the synagogue and octagonal Church of St. Peter and then proceed to to Safed, the center of Jewish mysticism, where you will visit the ancient synagogues and the artists’ colony. Continue to the Golan Heights to see the former Syrian bunkers, Kuneitra and the new Israeli town of Katzrin. Time permits will stop to visit a KIBBUTZ. Overnight in Tiberias Meals (B, D)

Day 5 Monday Jan 18
JORDAN RIVER / BEIT SHEAN / JERUSALEM
After breakfast, drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan river; and a great site for nature & adventures lovers. Continue to Nazareth via Cana of Galilee. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s well. Will continue to Beit Shean , a newly excavated city, and visit the Roman theatre and via the beautiful Jordan Valley. Stop at Qumran to visit the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Ascend to the golden city of Jerusalem. We will go up to the Mount of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of the Old City Overnight in Jerusalem at Grand Court Jerusalem Meals (B, D)

Day 6 Tuesday Jan 19
JERUSALEM: THE NEW CITY & OLD CITY
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to the Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem to see the Chagall stained glass windows. Continue to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust and then to the Israel Museum. Visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. View the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, and the Givat Ram Campus of the Hebrew University. Drive to the Old City of Jerusalem where we will begin our tour at Mt. Zion. Visit the Tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper. Enter the walled city and walk through the newly restored Jewish Quarter. Visit the Roman Cardo, Herodian Quarter and continue to the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, proceed to Mount Scopus Meals (B, D)


Day 7 - 8 Wednesday Jan 20 - Thursday Jan 21
QUMRAN / MASADA / DEAD SEA
Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Bethlehem*, visit the Church of Nativity. Drive through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, almost 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Masada. Ascend by cable car and tour the ancient fortress where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans before committing mass suicide in 73 AD. Descend by cable car, time and weather permitting, an opportunity will be provided to float in the Dead Sea. Return to the hotel to refresh yourselves, pack and rest before our farewell dinner at the hotel. Late evening transfer to the airport for our flight departing on Jan 21 back home. Meals (B, D)

Qualification for Fam Rate
All Iatan agents are welcome. The following form for qualification is required and MUST be submitted with payment, otherwise your bookings will not be processed.
Valid copy of IATAN card.  Only one agent per agency can qualify for the agent rate. Second agent pays the spouse/companion rate. A processing/shipping charge of $35 per person applies.
